The shift from the above outlined system of godfatherly corruption deforming democratic and pluralistic government to a new system took place during the 2010 elections. This was because the first project was founded, which was completely empty of ideas, based only on populist slogans in order to serve its owners as a new transmission from money over power to more money. In fact, this model differs from the godfather model only in that it has been elevated to a national level, while at the same time becoming largely professionalised and formalised. In practice, it seemed that at one of the godfather meetings described above, Tomáš Hrdlička and Roman Janoušek met and recruited Vít Bárta, then a businessman and owner of the large security agency ABL. According to the electoral programme of this movement, it was to be a right-wing and liberal grouping. Well-known personalities, such as the intrepid reporter Radek John, were supposed to help Věci veřejni succeed. Leaving aside the fact that John himself was by then as clean as someone who slipped on a muddy slope and rolled into an open septic tank. His previous involvement with ORA PRINT, associated with Janoušek’s shenanigans, and the shenanigans there, such as the multiply overpriced and unnecessary venison cookbook for the state enterprise Lesy České republiky, say it all. A few young women were a marketing accessory to beautify the billboards. In reality, it was a freeloading entity that was merely there to latch on to the state like a leech and suck as much as it could.

The height of insolence and cynicism of the founders of the “Vévéček” project was their “code”, which described it as “for a lout”. Public contracts in favour of the “superguru” Barta and his company had to be awarded in such a way that they looked transparent and the cheapest one won. A few lines later, however, the author explained that this “transparent” result for the godfather had to be achieved by selective requirements. In other words, the selection process eliminates competition and then it will be a percentage more expensive. But beware! Let us not accuse Barta and his cronies of cronyism. The material also says that payments from the state or the municipality are not everything. In addition to these, a deserving crook could get a commission from what he bids for the “company”.

Fortunately, after an endless series of scandals and revelations of wrongdoing, public affairs soon came to an oubliette. This was due to the stupidity of the leaders, the incompetence of the officials exposed to the light and the loss of media popularity due to the scandals. The Godfathers and Barta compromised themselves by joining forces with Tomi Okamura and the Úsvit and SPD projects, which combined the idea of a marketing party with the simple idea of direct democracy and xenophobia.
